Reservations and cancellations
Reservations and cancellations:

- All reservations will be confirmed by email.
- Some personal information for our guests and a credit card are necessary to validate the reservations.
All modifications or cancellations must be sent in writing (via email) to our reservations department (email: reservacion@cantalarana.com)
Advance payments to be paid upon reservation:
- 30% of the amount of the reservation in green season.
- 50% of the amount of the reservation in high season.
- 100% of the amount of the reservation in special seasons (Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter).
Reservation Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation 15 days before reservations: Refund of 100% of the reservation amount.
- Cancellation less than15 days before reservations: No Refund.
Prices:
Our prices are based on single or double occupancy per room (Rooms cannot accommodate more than THREE (3) guests
- A third person per room is accepted at an additional cost of $120 USD per night.
- Prices quoted are in US Dollars (USD).
- The standard sales tax in Costa Rica of 13% is not included in the room rate
- All prices include breakfast.
Our prices per room vary in special times of the year. (Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter). See our website.
- Payments are possible w by the following means: Credit card, PayPal, or bank transfers. We do NOT accept American Express or Travelers Checks.
Check-in / Check-out, Cleaning:
- Check – In: From 3:00PM until 6:00 PM
- Check – Out: At 11:00 AM. (In case of late check-out a surcharge of $10 will be charged for each hour after 11:00 AM
- Guests, please notify us before 12:00 AM, if you wish your room to be cleaned.
Drinks and meals:
- Breakfast is served in the rooms from 8:00 to 9:30 AM.
- CantaLaRana, does not offer lunch or dinner services.
- Alcoholic beverages and sodas are not included in the price of the rooms. (Prices are indicated in the “Mini-bar”).
Safety:
- Due to the characteristics of CantaLaRana, children under 14 years of age are not accepted.
- CantaLaRana assumes no responsibility for vehicles, occupants, or objects contained therein.
- We remind our guests that CantaLaRana is located at the edge of the jungle, which means being careful with the local fauna.
No Smoking:
According to the General Tobacco Control Act (#current)
- CantaLaRana is a non-smoking establishment. The policy is made in order to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. You are not allowed to smoke in any of our rooms. Guests who smoke in their room or who allow others to smoke, will be charged a minimum of $100 USD for the deodorizing and cleaning service
No Pets:
- Pets are not allowed in CantaLaRana
Damages:
- Damage to rooms, facilities, furniture, and equipment, including removal of electronic equipment, towels, paintings, ornaments, etc. will be charged to your account in the amount of 100% of the total replacement value, plus shipping and handling charges.
- Damage to bed linen or towels, resulting from the use of body oils, makeup, blood, etc. will result in a charge for special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged items.
